As an ARC (Actions de Recherche Concertées), Devinc is a multidisciplinary Research Project which gathers several Research Centers from ULB: The Centre d’Anthropologie Culturelle (CAC) », the Centre Emile Bernheim (CEB) and the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Tourisme, Territoires et Sociétes (LIToTeS)

The Centre for Cultural Anthropology (CAC) of the ULB is specialised in the fields of religious anthropology, environmental anthropology, historical anthropology, cultural technology, and the study of material cultures. Research is conducted in rural and urban settings, mainly in Africa, but also in Asia and South America. It explores themes such as learning processes, religious contacts as well as the social impact of environmental policies and public health.

The Centre Emile Bernheim (CEB), is ULB’s research Institute in Management Sciences, affiliated to the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (SBS-EM).

The CEB's researchers are currently active in the following fields: Finance, Accounting & Tax Sciences; International Trade & Development; Strategy, Corporate Governance, Marketing & Innovation; Economic & Financial History; Human Resources, Organisation & Labor Economics; Microfinance (CERMi); Public Management; Centre d'Etudes Economiques et Sociales de l'Environnement (CEESE).

Within the CEB, the Centre for European Research in Microfinance (CERMi)'s mission is to promote academic research in order to support the key stakeholders in the microfinance industry: NGOs, cooperatives, donors, investment funds and financial institutions, and to develop suitable frameworks to critically examine existing microfinance practices.

The ‘Laboratoire interdisciplinaire Tourisme, Territoires et Sociétés’ LIToTeS is one of the research centres of the ‘Department Geoscience Environement and Society’ (DGES) in the Faculty of Science.

It is the only French speaking tourism research centre in Belgium delivering extensive research on the interactions between tourism, spatial and social dynamics in urban and rural environments with a particular focus on stakeholders, consumer and user groups.
