Commons: A shared Paradigm?
This seminar gathers two speakers. I) Based on his current doctoral research, Camille Meyer (Centre Emile Bernheim, Solvay Brussels School, ULB) provides an overview of the various theoretical frameworks related to the Commons, starting from the approach of Ostrom.
ii) Tom Dedeurwaerdere, Professeur en Philosophie des Sciences et Théorie de la Gouvernance (UCL) shows how the approach of the commons evolved in the literature, with a focus on the normative dimension (participatory governance, welfare, social entrepreneurship) of such common goods. He draws attention to the seminar “Practicing the commons: Self-governance, cooperation and institutional change” taking place shortly in Utrecht by “The International Association for the Study of the Commons”
